How does it work?

We proudly offer simple, lesson-based pricing.

Families are billed per lesson. Performances and special events are optional, though highly encouraged, and offered separately. Once you join the academy (by signing up for lessons), you will hear about these events and how to sign up through our communication channels (email, occasional texting, and Instagram).

Group classes (like Baby & Me and Musical Beginnings) are billed monthly.

What ages do you teach?

We teach all ages! From our playful Baby & Me classes to private lessons for toddlers, kids, teens, and even seasoned adults, we believe it’s never too early—or too late—to fall in love with music.

Where are you located?

The majority of our teachers come directly to you for in-home private lessons. We serve several cities in the Conejo Valley (TO, Westlake, Oak Park, Newbury, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Agoura Hills) and surrounding areas (including Malibu, Camarillo, and Ventura), and have recently expanded to Santa Barbara.

For our Conejo Valley families, we have a few teachers who teach out of their homes. If you have a preference, please let us know.

For group classes and performances, we predominately partner with Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village to bring you a premium experience. We also work with other local theaters, schools, and businesses for our in-person events.

What are your rates for private lessons?

Our rates vary depending on the teacher’s level of experience. For weekly payments, an 1-hr lesson ranges from $90-$100. A 45-min lesson ranges from $70-$80. A 30-min lesson ranges from $50-60.

How do performances work?

Anyone who takes lessons with a WMA teacher is eligible to perform in our concerts. We send out Academy-wide emails with instructions on how to sign up to participate. The cost per concert varies, with a participation fee of $25-30, and tickets to attend sold separately ($5-10 each).

What do you teach?

We teach a variety of instruments including, but not limited to, voice, piano, guitar (acoustic, electric, bass), drums, ukulele, violin, cello, and more! If you don’t see your desired instrument listed, please give us a call. We are always adding new teachers with new specialties. In addition, we teach songwriting, music production, and music theory in private lessons. We also host group classes for babies and young children, as well as programs that specialize in Musical Theatre.

Yes, our teachers come from a variety of musical backgrounds. We are happy to pair you with a teacher that suits your needs.

Yes, we are a vendor with Blue Ridge Academy & Heartland Charter School, along with several others. We have families in the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas, and also in Santa Barbara, CA.
